Happiness sometimes does not lie in great things, but starts from the simplest gestures: a warm tray of rice, a carton of milk handed over, or just a sincere greeting. Yet, for those lives longing for sharing, those very small "sparks" warm up an entire soul.
With the mindset of easing pain and bringing encouragement to less fortunate destinies, the charity group had an emotional visit to the Thanh Loc Center for Caring and Protecting Paralyzed People. This is currently the shelter for hundreds of elderly people and helpless paralyzed and cerebral palsy patients. Each small gift given away represents so much sincere affection left behind, lighting up hope in a place that the members still consider a warm common home.

Managed by the HCMC Department of Health, the Thanh Loc Center for Caring and Protecting Paralyzed People has a proud history dating back to 1976. Starting out as Nursing Home No. 3, after nearly 50 years of continuous efforts, this place has transformed strongly. Not stopping at the role of a purely medical treatment and care unit, the center has truly become a peaceful destination, a true family home for imperfect lives in the heart of the city.
To ensure the best living conditions for each individual, the center operates with 3 specialized divisions: an area for men, an area for women, and an area for caring for cerebral palsy patients. In addition, an internal medical station is always ready on duty to maintain daily treatment and health care work.

Most of the "residents" under this roof are elderly people in poor health, carrying chronic illnesses or sequelae that make movement difficult. For them — those who no longer have family support — just a small gift, a greeting, or a sympathetic look can become an invaluable spiritual medicine, warming their souls during the days facing illness.
Throughout the trip, members of the delegation went to every single bed in all three divisions to deliver practical gifts. By personally handing over each gift, we hope that every elderly resident can feel the warmth of direct care.
