Program of Expressing Gratitude to Families of Martyrs, Wounded, and Sick Soldiers in Difficult Circumstances on the Occasion of the 51st Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification

In the heroic atmosphere of historical April, looking toward the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026), on April 24, a meaningful gratitude journey was organized in the resilient land of Tay Ninh. Entitled Expressing Gratitude to Families of Martyrs, Wounded, and Sick Soldiers in Difficult Circumstances the program left many moving impressions in the hearts of local residents.

The Collaboration of Grateful Hearts

The program was a close collaboration between the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs and the Warm with Love Charity Club (founded by Saigon Construction Corporation - SCC). Accompanying units included the Tay Ninh Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, the Department of Home Affairs of Tay Ninh Province, Hung Vuong University HCMC (DHV), SCC Investment Joint Stock Company (SCCI), and Saigon Manufacturing and Trading Corporation Company (SMC).

The gift-awarding ceremony in Thanh Dien Ward was honored to have the presence of:

    - Lieutenant General Tran Tan Hung – Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs.

    - Mrs. Tran Thi Lan – Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Tay Ninh Province.

    - Along with representatives of local People's Committees and press and media agencies.

Gifts Packed with Gratitude

In Thanh Dien Ward, Tan Ninh Ward, and Chau Thanh Commune, the delegation handed over 93 meaningful gift packages directly to families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers facing difficult circumstances. Each gift package was valued at 1,000,000 VND (including daily necessities and 500,000 VND in cash).

For many policy-beneficiary families here, the material value of the gift provided practical support, but the spiritual value was even greater. A local resident emotionally shared: "Living to this age, I have never received gifts so many and so large!"

Listening to Memories from Historical Witnesses

The most touching highlight of the journey was the activity of visiting homes directly. Club members and students from Hung Vuong University HCMC wound through small paths to reach the homes of families facing difficult circumstances.

Inside the small houses, the younger generation sat down, tightly holding the hands of veterans to listen to stories of a time of fire and bullets. The heroic memories of 51 years ago were recounted through simple yet deeply moving words. There were tears shed—not from pain, but from emotion at the sincere and warm affection that today's generation bestowed upon those who paved the way. The connection between the two generations turned the gifts into a bridge of profound gratitude.

Upholding the Principle of "Drinking Water, Remembering Its Source"

Over the years, upholding the tradition of "Expressing Gratitude and Repaying Favors" the Warm with Love Charity Club has consistently and persistently accompanied the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs. These buses of affection continue to regularly roll across every region of the country, not only to honor those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution but also to remind the younger generation of the value of peace and independence.

This program in Tay Ninh once again affirms the commitment of enterprises like SCCI, SMC, and social organizations in joining hands to care for the lives of policy-beneficiary families. The journey has concluded, but the spirit of gratitude will continue to spread, acting like an incense offering dedicated to those who sacrificed their blood and bones for national independence.
